Purge 80% of bulimics are average or overweight. Eating whatever the hell you want and throwing it up sounds like the perfect diet, but in reality it doesn't work. IT IS PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO PURGE ALL THAT YOU EAT. In a study taken by the University of Pittsburg, women who binged and purged retained 1,200 calories. It didn't matter how much they consumed or purged. Their bodies still clung to 1,200 calories. (Nearly half a pound!) Bulimia kills. The strain it puts on your heart and organs can be fatal. I'm not writing this to be cruel. I'm letting you know so that, next time you see a pie lying innocently in the corner, you'll realize that it isn't so sweet and harmless. No matter how hard you try to fight it, sugar will flow through your veins, calories will creep into your stomach, and your body will suffer every time you purge. |
