AURICULAR THERAPY
Auricular is a therapy which was developed in China over 300 year ago and has been used successfully to treat a variety of illnesses. It is now used worldwide. In auricular therapy the focus is on the ear for treatment. The goal of Acupuncture is to help the client achieve balance. Symptoms are seen as the body/mind trying to get some attention and help. Illness is perceived as loss of harmony or balance in the body, and may come from an overactive or underactive functioning of an organ. In auricular therapy five needles are inserted in specific points in each ear. Each point stimulates an internal body organ or function of the nervous system. Commonly used for tobacco and drug abuse, it does not cure alcoholism or drug additions, but it can help to alleviate symptoms so that mental and physical stability is achieved as soon as possible.
