HOMEOPATHY
Homeopathy is a naturopathic form of treatment. Homo means “same” and pathos meaning “suffering”. It is based on the principle of “like cures like symptom.” Meaning remedies that cause a potential problem in large doses actually will encourage the body to heal more rapidly if given in small doses. Homeopathic remedies, which are made from naturally occurring plant, animal, or mineral substances, are recognized and regulated by the FDA and are manufactured under strict guidelines. Homeopathy is used to treat acute and chronic health problems as well as for prevention and health promotion. Recent clinical trials suggest that homeopathic medicines have a positive effect on allergic rhinitis, fibrositis, and influenza. It is also effective in other areas such as varicose veins, and gastrointestinal pain.
