THERAPEUTIC TOUCH
Therapeutic Touch refers to intentional use of a person’s hands and consciousness to help another. Therapeutic Touch is a contemporary interpretation of several ancient-healing practices, including “laying on of hands.” And is believed to influence energies that can activate the physical body. Practitioners need not make physical contact with the patient, and often works within a few inches of the body. The ability of practitioners is believed to be a natural human potential. Practitioners use Therapeutic Touch to promote healing in patients needing relaxation, pain reduction, accelerated healing, alleviation of stress, as well as enhancing their well-being, personal integration, comfort, and peace. Applied Kinesiology therapeutically utilizes nutrition, manipulation, diet, acrupressure, exercise, and education to help restore balance and harmony in the body and maintain well being.
